Matthew 2:11-12

11 And going into the house, they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him. Then, opening their treasures, they offered him gifts, gold and frankincense and myrrh. 12 And being warned in a dream not to return to Herod, they departed to their own country by another way.

These verses are amazingly powerful verses that point directly to the promise that Jesus is the Messiah, the son of God, and He is with us. This allows us to see how Jesus is not just a human, but He is the God of Israel in human form. This gives us a reason to celebrate and rejoice, because Immanuel has been born just as God said that it would happen. This allows us to have so much hope because God’s rescue for the world is taking place through King Jesus. Let our worship and praise relate to the way God demonstrated in these two verses. Through the individuals falling to their knees, and by bringing the best offering that they owned. Lastly, we see the continuous protection and love of God as He protects King Jesus, just as He protected the lineage of Christ throughout the Old Testament. So, let us today be grateful and excited about the amazing things God has done, and continues to do in the lives of his people.

  • What are we bringing daily to God?
  • What do we feel that God is leading us to do?
