Luke 1:34-37

34 And Mary said to the angel, “How will this be, since I am a virgin?”a]">[a]

35 And the angel answered her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be bornb]">[b] will be called holy—the Son of God. 36 And behold, your relative Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son, and this is the sixth month with her who was called barren. 37 For nothing will be impossible with God.”

We are allowed to see the power of the Holy Spirit through today's passage. It shows and demonstrates the supernatural power of God. This allows us to have hope and praise through God showing His love for us here on Earth. He loves us so much, that he sent his son and fulfilled his divine promise not just to Mary, but to all of humanity as He stated in Genesis. Also, this shows the infinite ability of God to bless two families through his divine promises and the worship and celebrations demonstrated from both families to God for his infallible word. Lastly, we can rejoice in the promise and encouragement that we can hold on to daily from this verse as it says, “God will never fail us.” Let that be our resounding message of hope for days to come, God will never fail.

  • What are some ways that we limit the power of God in our lives?
  • List some ways you are trusting God’s word in daily life?
