Luke 1:31-33
31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, 33 and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.
The miracle that would cause Mary to conceive and give birth to a son would be one that would change the world! Verse 31 says You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. The name Jesus is equivalent to the Hebrew name Yehoshua (Joshua), meaning “The Lord Is Salvation”. This baby that Mary would give birth to was the true Son Of God! WOW!! I often wonder how Mary felt when she received this good news. I am sure she was scared and filled with joy! I am reminded that the good news that the angel brought to Mary in these passages is for you and me. This good news lived a perfect life and gave His perfect life for you and me. Rest in the good news of Luke 1:31-33 and be reminded in this season that this good news is for you!
